  • Was research assistant for Dr. Rongbin Han and Dr. Loch Johnson, working on projects related to Chinese politics, East Asian politics, and Intelligence.

2006-2007 Paid Internship, World Security Institute (WSI): China Program, Washington D.C.

  • Research Assistant for Director of China Program
  • Assistant Editor for Fall 2006 edition of program’s quarterly, scholarly journal entitled China Security
    • Peer reviewed and edited prospective submissions to China Security as well as coordinated the organization and distribution of the journal to a subscriber list of over 500 members.
  • Editor for China Energy Update, a bi-weekly e-newsletter covering energy issues in China
  • Editor for China Energy Insight, a weekly newsletter providing analysis of energy issues in China.
    • Researched and organized international news coverage and analysis of energy issues relevant to Chinese politics and dispatched to a listserv of over 100 active subscribers
